Does David bridal do this? because i am looking at their site, and I have found a dress that I really like for my bridesmaid. But I need it in a Truffle Brown and for the ribbon I need it in pink

Here is the website http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=3581&prodgroup=110

I'm thinking on the left side,. Either the top dress or the middle on but I need to get it in my colors.

So my question is, Does David Bridal order these dresses in the color that you want????

  1. yes

  2. I also inquired about this, and ask DB about it myself, and they only have the dresses in the colors they have. As in, if the dress doesn't come in the truffle brown, they won't dye it for you.

It's stupid, especially because it seems like they could - they're a huge franchise, but they don't.

The good news is that brown is a pretty popular color and style. Many designers will carry dresses in this color, and will have the style you need. I was dead set on using DB at first because I didn't want my BMs to pay a lot for their dresses and because they had stores everywhere, but we've been looking around and have seen a lot of better options out there. Not to mention that I've heard too many stories about DB doing bad dye jobs on dresses when ordered from different locations. One girl's story said that she got red dresses from them, had her BMs order them from different stores on their own, and they were all different shades of red.

I would try to look elsewhere first, and then settle on DB if they have what you need in the end.

  3. That's a simple gown, so visit a locally owned bridal shop that works with Alfred Angelo, Eden Bridals or Mary's Bridal and they should be able to help you.  All of those companies provide reasonably priced bridesmaids gowns in a wide variety of colors.

    Best wishes!!!

Edited to add:  Although another poster mentioned it already David's Bridal is only able to provide dresses in the colors shown in their catalog, so not every dress is available in every color.  That's where the other companies have an advantage.

  4. I followed the link and that dress comes in many colors including truffle brown.  The sash may not come in the color of pink you want, but they sell many different sashes at david's bridal that you could choose from and just match with whatever dress you want.  There is no cost for getting the dress in truffle brown though if it is offered in that color.  Good luck and I love the colors together.
