hey mate, i'm from Brisbane and am becoming a pilot after i finish school.. i finish school late this year, and am joining university + flight school,  the university told me that  you would need $15,000-20,000 a year for 3 year course, remember this is to become a commercial pilot. if you mean getting a private pilots license, that would be around 5,000-10,000 but yeh, depends what you want to do, if you want to become an airline pilot, its best to go to university + flight school to earn a degree, but if its just a recreational pilot, a private pilots license is perfect to fly around Australia with. if you want more information, add my msn on [e-mail].

Check your local flight schools and pick the one that suits your needs and be selective, some budget flight schools are just that. So you want the most bang for your buck!!!

I have no idea how much it would cost to get your pilot license in Australia, but for a reference point I can tell you that it will cost somewhere around $6,000 here in the U.S. Of course this all depends on how quick you pick it up and how much you apply yourself. Also you are required to have a minimum of 40 hours before you can get your license here, so if you need more or less over there then the cost will be different.
