Q: "How much does it cost to get an oregon C.N.A Lisence? I am trying to find our how much its going to cost me to switch my Washington CNA lisence to a Oregon one."

A: The quick answer to your question is "At least from $50 to $156."

Call 971-673-0685 to speak with someone at the Oregon State Board of Nursing to answer your specific questions.

    Or write them at:

    Oregon State Board of Nursing

17938 SW Upper Boones Ferry Rd.

    Portland, Oregon 97224-7012

Also, see their website as referenced below.

You may be required to take a test or reactivation test in Oregon with the following applicable fees:

Initial Examination (written and skill tests). $106

Reactivation by Examination (written and skill test). $106

All fees paid to the Oregon State Board of Nursing are non-refundable.

Here's an excerpt from the State Board of Nursing:

    Renewal Fees

    Certified Nursing Assistant 1 (CNA 1):  $50

    Certified Medication Aide (CMA):  $65

    CNA/CMA Renewal Requirements

To renew a CNA certificate, a CNA must:

Work and be paid for at least 400 hours (approximately three months, full-time) of CNA duties in the two years immediately preceding the certificate expiration date. Volunteer work does not count for renewal. Caring for a family member counts for renewal only when it is paid employment.

Perform authorized duties as listed in the OSBN's rules under the supervision of a licensed nurse or under delegation by a Registered Nurse.

Employment as a CMA counts toward CNA renewal. However, work as a CNA does not count toward CMA renewal.

In addition, CMAs must have eight hours of medication-related continuing education during the two years immediately preceding the certificate expiration date.
