How much does it cost to get married at the Court house?

in Arizona. I have a $200 budget. The permissions to get married are $72. I need to know how do I get married at the court house? and how much it costs?

I think a reception at our home with pizza and dew for my family and future family is appropriate. So that is $50. My mother-in-law is bringing the cake. Kids are there so no drink allowed.

Then there should be hopefully $80 or so left for me and my new husband a night out in a hotel

In Pennsylvania it's $30 for the permit and $40 to get married at the magistrate. Your budget does seem a bit small, as $80 for a hotel can hardly buy you a night at a Days Inn. Maybe skip the reception! I was married at the magistrate. My husband's dad and girlfriends were the only ones there. His mom paid 1/4 of our wedding pictures. We didn't have a reception, and his mom's boyfriend took us out for dinner a few months later to celebrate.

We didnt' receive a big applaud and whoop de doo, but as long as everyone is aware you're getting married, that should be enough.

in georgia it was 50 for the license and we just tipped the judge b/cause it was very last minute. my hubby was leaving for iraq the next day.

Why this problem?

Whether your husband is not in a position to spend money?

We have Marriage Registration office in India and it is very easy.

Both have to fill up an application form with signature.

This will be notified on the notice board for one month.

After one month -  before the Registrar exchange of flowers and rings take place. You will be given marriage certificate and if you need more copies they are available for meager charge.

That is all.

You may be having such an office in your area. Find out. or Meet an Attorney and get his advise.

Regarding budget. It is your problem.

Either you have to go ahead with the marriage or postpone your marriage till you save some money required.

i got married in kentucky in the court building the marriage license is only $35.50 and the jugde's fee was only $25 so it aint that much to get married in a court building

I live in IL, it was $20.00 or $25.00 here at the court house, call the court house and ask or you can go on line to the local web page  for you local court house and see what it does cost.
