How much does it cost to get tested for dyslexia?

I'm in USA, Missouri. How much money does it cost to get tested for dyslexia/

Your medical insurance MAY cover your testing by a psychologist.  If it does not, it could run in the $1000 range easily.  

If you are enrolled in college or wish to become enrolled in college, contact your Vocational Rehabilitation office.  They may be able to assist you with testing, especially if your income is on the lower side.  

Edit - Avoid the using the term developmentally delayed.  It is the newer term for mental retardation.

If you feel you are developmentally disabled (such as with dyslexia), your school is supposed to have you tested.  It is fairly expensive, about $2,000 at a private clinic for neuropsychology.
