  1. You can find information and book tickets for the Florence museums here: http://www.polomuseale.firenze.it/englis...

It depends on where you're from, how old you are, whether you want a reservation or stand in line, and where you get the ticket (e.g., there's a fee for on-line booking and it will also cost more from a commercial ticket seller than from the museum).

A full priced ticket is 6.50 euro

If you're an EU citizen under 18 or over 65, it's free.

If you're an EU citizen between 18 and 25, it's 3.25 euro. You'll need proof of citizenship.

There's a booking fee of 3 euro for a reservation. There may be additional charges for particular exhibitions. For the exhibition running through the 13th of April the full-priced ticket is 10 euro and the reduced price ticket is 5 euro.

A reservation for the Uffizi and the Accademia are often worth the price. The lines can be an hour or more.

  2. The previous answerer hit it right on the head. Get a reservation your hotel can make the booking. We were there in October the line up without a reservation was 2 hours at least. Of course there was a festival on that day and the tickets were free.

Get the combo that also includes the Academy. (David)
