How much does it cost to have a 13 days trip to Italy & France ,in average?

In April 2007 flew into Paris for 2 days then off to Milan for 3 days then to Venice for 4 days drove from Venice through Veronna, Lucca and on through to Firenze(Florence)3days then spent last day in Pisa flew from Pisa back to Paris for the final 2 days and it was very VERY VERY expensive I dont know where you are staying or how you are getting around but the Euro is way strong and the dollar way weak on that trip I spent around 15,000USD that after the exchange rate was worth only 8000USD and its even worse today for every 10000.00USD you will only have around 3000.00 in Euro I would say it will cost you about 15000.00 to really have a ok time and around 20-25000 for a great time

I went for 8 days to Italy (Rome, Florence, and Venice) in January.  It depends on where you want to stay and what places you go to really.  We found some nice hotels and one private hostel and they prices weren't too bad and included breakfast in the morning.  Then for lunch we found cafes that had lunch specials away from the tourist areas.  A can of coke was 4 euros in cafes though so we stuck to house wine that was wonderful and the same price as a can of coke for half a litre (it made for a very merry trip!)  We took trains and bought our tickets before we left and that made it cheaper for some reason.  Cocktails were pretty pricey, but luckily we made friends with people who go us into clubs without having to pay and some free drinks (ha ha that kept cost down).  Most attractions (like the Vatican museum and Colosseum) you have to pay to get into but it wasn't too bad.  My friend and I used my air miles so that didn't cost us but for the whole trip I spent less than $1000.  It probably could have easily spent more but we had an amazing trip and spent less than I actually planned on.
