  1. It would definitely hurt, mostly though because part of it would go over your spine.  It depends on how big you want it, what font, and if it would be colored in.  I'd be prepared for anything from $100-350.

  2. You would need to talk to the tattoo parlour. It can vary, especially with size.

  3. Depends how big it is - around $50 upwards (depending on size).  Not sure how much it would hurt but probably would hurt a little bit as the back of your neck's not generally very fleshy.

I have a small tattoo on my shoulderblade which only hurt a tiny bit when it went over the bone so I'd say over the spine would hurt a bit.

  4. It depends.  You should just go to the tattoo parlor and ask them because every place has it's minimum price.

And the back of my neck hurt the worst out of my four tattoos, and I actually made her stop twice because it was unbearable.  I have my neck/nape, arm/shoulder cap, wrist, and right front hip.  Over the spine kills like h**l.  My tattoo back there took about two hours though and it's about a 3" tall crown.

  5. The size, font ect actually does not matter they charge by the hour and it's usually about $120 an hour. there is also a minimum fee for the needle, ink ect so from the time you get there i'd say you'd pay about $80 - $100... which is pretty cheap so look around for the best hourly rate...

To answer the pain question i have my zodiac sign on the back of my neck and it's one of the least painful ones i've gotten, have 7... my ankle ones hurt the least and then the neck one so ranking 3rd out of 7 for pain isn't bad at all so you've picked a good spot as far as pain goes...
