I have a 22 ft Celebrity I/O open bow. Approximately how much would it cost to replace the floor on that boat?

  1. Well it would depend on what quality you would want, outdoor carpet etc, thickeness of the floor and any cubby holes etc.

I have never had it done, I have always done it myself, if your good at figuring angle cutting for the framing and angle cutting the edges of the plywood etc, you could save a lot of money doing it yourself!

I used all treated plywood and the thickest I could buy, so never have to replace it again! All the floor support boards should be all  treated too, and screwed together or bolted , I myself bolt everything! And not stapled or nailed together!! Remember doing it right the first time, means never having to do it again!

I did my neighbors 28 footer and I told him, I'd do it for 500 bucks if he bought everything I told him he would need! After I got it all done, he was so happy what I had done for him, he gave me another 500 bucks! I put into the flooring 4  cubby holes so he could store things in them, and I built a built in bait box with plastic liner!

So If that would have been done at a shop, I think it would have cost a lot more then he paid me, and he most likely would have to have it done all over again some day, because the shop would have never used all Grade A treated plywood and lumber like I did! My neighbor will never have to have his boat floor ever redone! It was done right the first time, I did it!

If you don't have plans of keeping the boat for ever, then you could do it yourself for about  400 - 500 bucks, and to have it done by a shop, it will cost  650 to 1200 bucks and no real guarantee on life time lasting!

  2. The key word in your question is "have". To have it done and done right, your looking at about $2500-$3000.

To do it yourself and do a reasonably decent job, about $400-$500.

Also, I wouldn't use all pressure treated framing. The extra weight would be way too much. Pressure treated plywood, for sure.

  3. Use Marine plywood, about $50.00 a sheet

    (32 sq.ft.) So about 5 sheets $250.00

Do it your self for about $400.00

Have a marina do it,$1500.00 or more
