How much does it cost to hire professional movers?

I am moving from a 2 bedroom condo to a house. The distance between the 2 places is an hour. I plan to do all of the packing myself, so it would just be boxes and heavy furniture. Thanks!

much cheaper to get some help from friends or relatives cuz im pretty sure it costs quite a bit.

It depends on where you are, but in SF Bay Area, it costs between $100 to $120 an hour for professional movers, plus double rate ($100 to $120 for 30 minutes) for driving time. You can get free quote at rent.com (see the link below).

i have HUGE experience in moving i moved about 5 times in 7 years in 3 country's so here is my advise

rent a truck and if you cant drive it ask a friend

put some advertisement asking help in streets at least 5 in bus stops and people will never stop calling you

and don't put lots of furniture in the truck even if you have to come and go lots of times

and that's all what i can say good luck !!!!
