How much does it cost to install a gas dryer ?

I just ordered a gas dryer [whirlpool] from costco online and it is mentioned there that they dont install. does anyone know howmuch it costs to install gas dryer ? i live in northern austin.appreciate your input...

I guess it depends if you already have a gas hookup with a valve nearby.  If so, it's a 10 minute job to hook it up to the gas and air vent, check for leaks then level the dryer.  This assumes a gas dryer was already there at one time.

If you don't have a gas hook up you will need to contact a plumber and that can range from $100 on up (plus materials) depending where the closest place to tap in is.
