The DNR had information about boat registration cost, but it is done through any local Secretary of State office.

I would call an office to verify what documents you need to get a Title. There are a few locations that will issue an instant title.

I believe you would pay 6 percent of the sale price unless it is a relative. (what the SOS considers a relative.  There will also be a fee for a plate for any trailer.  If you will be launching on public lakes, a daily or yearly pass is required.
