How much does it cost to rent a bike in Holland?

We have again the same problem. Holland although just two provinces of the Netherlands, have various peculiarities, depending where you are located. If you check for "Fietsverhuur" you may find offers at $20  per week for a rugular bike, but also, especially in tourist areas, daily fees of $20 for a mountain-bike. When I used to go on vacation to Frysland I did not have to pay for the "fiets" at all, had just to make sure to clean it and keep it in good condition.

It works out very cheap, no more than €20 a day in most places, but they do ask for a deposit, and I would recommend taking out an insurance policy if they offer it.

Something you should be aware of before going to attempt to hire a bike: The Netherlands is not a country with a big credit card culture. That deposit you're asked for will have to be in cash, they won't accept a credit card number, but if the bike you hire is in good nick when you return it, they'll hand you your deposit right back.

It is going to depend on where exactly you are planning to stay.

Assuming it is Amsterdam (majority of tourists will head there for the for most of the period they are over here), well again the prices vary depending on where you hire from and also which bike exactly (e.g. having a hand brake is more expensive than a 'pedal-back' one
