You'd be better off in West Palm Beach, now what do you mean by Doctor's cabinet?  Will someone be occupying the space, will patients be seen at the location. It depends on how much space you really need.  If you just need a small office space and no one is really going to be there, then look into an Executive Suite setup. There are four executive suite companies in West Palm Beach,

- Phillips Pointe Building on flagler drive, suite 800

- Clematis Building on clamatis street

- Clearlake Plaza Executive Suite on  Australian Blvd and Clear Lake

- Forum Building on Northlake Blvd.  

The average cost for a small suite (approx 250-300 sq feet) would run you about $500-$800 per month plus tax.

If it's going to be for one person and they require a phone or internet access etc, all services provided are ala carte you only pay for the services you choose.  Most Executive Suites aren't zoned medical, which means a dentist or medical practitioner cannot practice out of an executive suite, a psychologist or psychiatrist can however utilize an executive suite.

If you are looking for over 1,000 then depending on location you're looking at $24 square foot and up.

It would be MUCH cheaper over the bridge in West Palm Beach.  in Palm Beach, I would guess $10,000 per month AT LEAST.

A good place to look for commercial real estate is loop.net.  You are going to have to specify what "medium" size means.  When you see the different rental rates, remember that the rate is per foot per year (not per month) such that if you see $30/ft and you need 2500 s.f your total rent for the year would be $75,000 or $6250/month.
