  1. paris is definitly the most expensive city in France! my brother lives there and pays 650€/month for a bedroom!

For Lyon and marseilles, it depends of the neighbourhood...

  2. I know only Paris.

It's the more expensive town. The price depends on where you are. It can be very different if you live in West (most expensive) or in North, East (cheapest)...with some exceptions and cheaper in some hard suburbs.

For a studio inside Paris in a good place you have to think from 650 to 900 euros / month.

If you want to come in Paris, tell me (you can write me in private) in which place you have to go, and I will tell you the best area to look.

You can look at this website between particular.

    www.pap.fr

    Rent is location in french.

  3. I don't know if this really helps, but I pay 832 euros per month for a 2 bed, 645 sq ft flat (about 55 sq meters), this includes water and 'charges'. It is a 3rd floor walk up in an older building (turn of the century) with electric heating and the original windows (i.e. expensive electric bills). The flat had not been redone when I moved in (this affects the price). It is about a 5 min. walk from the metro, in a north western suburb (not the best) and is CHEAP for the current market prices.

My ex pays 1300 euros for a 95 sq. meter flat, 2bdrms, and a double living room, with central heating and an elevator on the nicest street in the same suburb.  That flat had been redone when we moved in about 8 years ago, and again that is pretty cheap by current market standards.

  4. It depends on what side of town you live in. It can go anywhere from 250-3000 euros. I would reccommend finding a local in the city who can help you look for a place to live.
