  1. Orange County:  $1.25 per ride or $3 daily pass.

  2. London England its £2 cash fare or 90 pence with 'Oyster' prepay; most people in London use an Oyster Card or some sort of weekly or monthly pass. Outside London I also use buses in the countryside where a graduated fare system applies. I.E. your fare varies according to the distance travelled; return fares are usually the single fare plus 50%. A single fare from Guildford Bus Station in Surrey to a village about 10 miles away is about £3.20 and the return £4.80.

  3. In NY Metropolitan Area where I live.

Buses in NYC are $2 for local and express buses are $5.

Westchester Bee-Line buses are $1.75 (Soon to be $2 due MetroCard Fare Hike.

In Rockland County, local buses cost $1 while Tappan Zee Express is $1.50.

Suffolk County Transit in NY cost $1.50.

In NJ, New Jersey transit buses are based on fare zones, so depends.

In CT, local bus cost $1.25 and $2.50 for I-Bus (express)

  4. $2.00 - Chicago

  5. London England £2.00
