How much does it cost to run a car per year?

i'm 18 and i'm currently learning to drive, i'd like to get a vauxhall corsa as my first car. can anyone tell me how much it would cost to run per year? including insurance etc...

for insurance you should get your own quote somewhere like

For tax disc it's probably less than 100 a year but I am only guessing.

Then you need an mot. All in all let's say 150 quid. Then you pay for your own petrol. If you get an LPG running car you drive into London for free (no congestion charge) and you pay a yearly half or less what it'd cost if it was a diesel or only petrol.
