I'm not sure on the size but it's pretty big (maybe 42?) It is on and never turned off.

Also, a basic refridgerator (not energy star, pretty cheap) if you happen to know how much that costs to run?

THANKS!!!!

  1. no idea, kid

  2. around $7 a day

  3. the tv is probably much more energy efficient than the fridge they should have had the energy star label on them thatgave an approximate cost range to run on them when you bought them, you could try looking up by brand and model online

  4. Since you're in the size range for both. . . plasma or LCD?

That's going to make a noticeable difference -- plasmas eat energy much more so than LCD's do.

  5. $7 a day?!!

Nahhhhh, at 8¢ per kilowatthour you only consume 96¢ a day if you have a 500 Watt TV set.

And that's a PLASMA TV set with the WORST ratings....

So a refrigerator MIGHT consume that amount too....but it doesn't run 24/7 either....

The usage of MOST TV sets is about $4.00 a month, so you may be about $12 a month since it runs 24/7.

  6. Monthly Cost equals "TV wattage in watts" multiplied by "24" (hours per day) multiplied by "Cost per Kilowatt/Hour" multiplied by "Number of days in month" divided by "1000" (converts watts units to kilowatt units)

  7. to be honest im not too sure on the running costs but i have a 42" flatscreen which like yours it is always on. Since i have gotten it i have not noticed any substantial differences between my bills before i got it and the bills i am getting now. So the energy it uses must not be a huge
