How much does it cost to scuba dive in belize?

i have neever scuba dived before and i hear belize is the place to do it. does anyone have an idea of how much it costs?

Go a little farther south to the Honduran Bay Islands.  The island of Utila is supposed to the least expensive place in the world for an open water diving course.  I just came back from a visit to Belize and EVERYTHING is expensive there.

I'm a long time PADI divemaster/A.I. and have lived and worked in Belize and several other locations throughout Latin America.

Belize has great diving and skilled diving instruction.Learning to dive in Belize is somewhat more expensive than many other places in the region.
