How much does it cost to see dead Lenin? How did they preserve him?

I heard that they marinaded him or something. I'm going to visit russia soon and I want to see the dead guy.

Curious how much for the corps of the guy?

Before entering Mavsolei you should give away all photo and videocameras, keys and metal things to a special storage at the egde of the Red Square, then you'll pass through metal gates when policemen stand and if everything is ok you go direct to Mavsolei. Several steps down and turning around several corners (at each stand a soldier) - and you'll see him. You indeed can't stop you should slowly, but moving. I saw him last year, expected more to tell the truth, he resembles a little wax dol, not a real man absolutely (i'm Russian but didn't have a chance and wish go there earlier). After you go out you'll go along the Kremlin wall and will see the monuments to russian politicians who were buried there.

Mavsolei is free of charge, it works from 10:00 till 13:00, doesn't work on Monday, Friday and Sunday.

Lenin is still in Mavsolei on Red square in Moscow and you can see him just by walking in, there is no charge. But they won't let you stop and look at him, you need to keep moving...

If you are in for "dead guy"s I suggest you to take a short trip to your local cemetery or to a morgue, you don't have to travel all the way to Russia.
