distance has nothing to do with it... its all bout the weight and size... you need the stamp on the original evelope you are sending plus a stamped evelope inside... depending on the size and weight.,, it could cost you 84 cents at the least

It would cost 42 cents for postage. Then you want insurance if it get lost or stolen.  Insurance Coverage  for 42 cents is $1.70.

So;   .42 + 1.70 = $2.12

You could also get a Delivery Conformation for an additional fee and they give you a tracking number. I not sure, it about $1 +/-  I thinking .90 which be a total of $3.02

Myself, I just pay the 42 cents and hope it get there. ;-)
