Besides, is there any mailbox besides road for people to send postcard in Dusseldorf? Or we need to go to postoffice?

It costs 1 € (one Euro). You don´t need to go to the postoffice, there are mailboxes besides roads - but you have to buy a stamp. Some shops sell stamps with the post-cards (you have to ask for it) or you can buy one at a stamp-machine (automat where you can chose number and worth of the stamp and it will printed).

if you go inside a post office they will be pleased to help you.

From my own experience i know that to send an maxi-brief (a taller postcard- it was an x-mas card) costs 3 euro.

it would be faster if you put an sticker on the postcard with airmail.. you get them in a postoffice, which nearly every town has.
