I am looking to buy a used Mini and am wondering roughly how much it will cost the service and how regularly they are recommended.

I live in Western Australia and the car I am looking at is a 2004 Mini Cooper R50 MYO5 chili model which has done 55150km. It's next service is due in 7000km according to the reading given on the dash.

  1. You have some new sites in the US - www.driverside.com and www.repairpal.com that show service pricing.  That might give you a ballpark - though you will have to adjust for Australian dollars.  Or maybe you can find a similar Australian site.

  2. Well, if it's still under warenty, then I'm pretty sure it's free. Either that or you get a discount. Good Luck!

  3. And Inspection I is usually about $450 US. That is what you are probably looking at. An Inspection II is about $ 650.

If you need more info check out North American Motoring - where many Mini Owner talk about their Mini's

  4. Call the dealer or a shop and ask, "What does the 7000km service on a 2004 Mini Cost"? Brilliant eh?
