How much does it cost to ship a car?

Question

im looking at buying a car in new york and im willing to spend the money to go up there and test drive it and all... only problem is that the parents don't want me driving it back here because obviously no teenager is going to be allowed to drive that far.. but my parents said they would be willing to pay for shipping so does anyone know how much thats going to cost to ship from new york to Maryland?

you will save more by finding a dealer near you, I am sure you will find the right car....there are SO many cars out there, in general!  Not to mention, there are a lot of risks with shipping cars, and once it leaves the dealer, they're not responsible for ANY damages that happen when it's "in transportation" to you....I would think this one over if I were you!

i checked on this once. i think it was gonna cost around a $1000 or less to ship it a distance of some where between 1000 and 1500 miles.

i got this info from  a link on ebay, i think. it's been a while so my #'s may be off a bit. but it's close.   had a second thought. with gas being a lot higher now, my guess may be a lil low. i would surf around ebay though, bet you'll find your answer there. good luck!
