  1. you should be able to store a cessna prop in your closet!

  2. Wow, I pay only $30/month for a covered T hangar!  Asphalt strip that the plane sits on with tiedowns and metal cover (roof & walls)  Yes, there is a waiting list for hangars.

  3. By Cessna prop, I am assuming you mean a typical single engine light aircraft.

The answer is not that easy. There are a lot of factors that come into play; mainly, the size of the hangar, the location of the airport, weather conditions, hangar demand, etc.

Anyway, a typical T-hangar can rent for as little as around $125/month in a remote area at a small airport. The same hangar in a large metro area such as California's bay area may rent for as much as $750/mo, sometimes more. Again, its the law of supply and demand.

The only real way to find out is to call some airports around you. And, just realize that hangars are usually in high demand. I just bought mine but the waiting list for county hangars at my small airport is currently 6 years.

  4. hangars in a 100 mile radius of me varies from $185 mo (small uncontrolled field)

to $790 mo at the class c field (at least a five year wait)
