How much does it cost to take a cat on a plane?

I'm flying up to Townsville soon and my cat is living with my mum there, But i want to bring her back to Adelaide with me, Does anyone have any idea how much this would cost and whats involved? Thanks.

  1. They might charge the price of a child.  But the cat won't be able to sit with you.  You will have to carry it in a carrier.


  2. It can go as escorted cargo, the most I have paid is $100.

  3. If you fly with Qantas a pet carrier can be part of your free allowance.

    Virgin has nominal charges.  Check the links below.

  4. try contacting SkyPet on 1300 799738 or JetPets on 1300668309. Both have door to door service but these are Sydney listings. ask if they have interstate services. You wont be able to take puss on board with you.
