How much does it cost to take a ferry to Sardinia from Rome?

Im just wondering how much the ferry cost for round trip. Should this be booked in advance? Im assuming a flight is much more expensive.

  1. Don't fly it is more expensive. A round trip will cost you about 100 euro the day of the trips. If you book in advance it is about 20 euro. It also depends if you want a room to sleep in or you want a chair on the deck. The trip is usually overnight. For everything you need go to the website below. Click the UK flag on the right side of the page for English. This is the ferry boat that I used when I went to Sardegna.


  2. first of all in Rome there isn't the sea

    the closest harbours to Rome, are Civitavecchia and Ficumicino

    sardinia is linked with normal ferries and high speed ferries of different companies as Tirrenia, Moby Lines, Grandi Navi Veloci and Sardinia-Corsica Ferries.

    high speed ferries reach sardinia in 3 hours, instead the standard ferry boats about 7 - 10 hours (Civitavecchia fars from sardinia about 200 km)

    the only low cost flight from Rome to Sardina, the Ryanair Ciampino-Alghero, unfortunately now is suspended due to a European Union legislation
