The actual expense depends on what type private jet is used. A Lear jet which accommodates 3-4 people costs less than does a Gulfstream G-5 which will accommodate 10. It also depends on where you want to go, how long you will stay, and how much ferry time is involved. (Ferry time is moving the aircraft from where it is to your location, and is paid for on both ends of the charter.) Some private aircraft are B-737-600 and larger. Greg Norman, the pro golfer has one of these.

In short, you should be prepared to pay around $25,000 for a short trip.
