At the current cost 0f $4.79 a gallon for diesel it costs me $143.70 to fill my 30 gallon tank on my truck.

2004 Ford F350 4x4 Crew cab, long bed.

The driving range is 400-560 miles. So at a range of 400 miles it is costing me a little under .36 cents a mile to drive.

My passenger car is a 2006 Mercedes Benz SLK 55 with a 14 gallon tank. At 4.45 for super unleaded it costs $62.30 to fill up. My driving range is 200-280 miles. At 200 miles it is costing me .31 cents a mile. Both prices per mile still seem reasonable to me, but that puts me in the minority.

Ford crown victoria 18 gallon tank at 3.64/gallon would be  65.52 but i never fill it in case someone steals it!!!

I have a honda accord year 99 and it cost me around $60 if i fill it when its low but i always fill it when its half full and only $30
