How much does it usually cost (ballpark) to ship a large (36 foot) boat? Break it down into $$ per mile.?

I'm hoping someone who's had a boat shipped can answer this... I just want to get a rough estimate to see if its worth doing. Just let me have an example of how big your boat was, starting location, ending location, and cost.

Internet scammers use this ploy constantly to scam you.  Either you are a scammer or you are about to be scammed.  All they want is your bank information, so they can clean it out.  Or buy things in your name by credit card.  It does not pay to ship a normal sized boat anywhere.  It would cost more than the boat is worth.  It would run tens of thousands of dollars to move a 36Ft boat from NY to Los Angeles.  Local moving is less costly, but still very expensive if it is done on land.  On the water, you would pay about $500. per hour to have it towed, port to port.  They will bill that from the time they start their engine until they shut it down. That means you pay for the hourly rate both ways.  Forget it.

Boat: Hole in water you shovel money into, or standing under cold shower shredding $100- notes. That said: what is it made of, how heavy/fragile is it, what weather will it be, what roads are needed, accesses to properties both ends, how far, is an escort needed, how many people are needed, what preparations have you made to support it, and are they enough, any quarrantine problems across boarders, special permits needed, how fast can it be moved, how many hours to load and unload, crane hire fees both ends, or travel with boat,  This isn't cheap, prob >>$2K/day traveling, and $3K load and unload each-depending, and $250 pre-inspection of each site.  37' steel double chine, abt 9T, 1 day, 12km.
