  1. Laser surgery for glaucoma related to angle closure is a quick procedure.  Since cost is an issue, you may need to go to one of the large county or urban medical centers that is funded to care for folks without insurance.   If going to one of those centers is not an option, then I'd ask a private ophthalmologist in your area what it would cost for and discuss a payment plan.

  2. You should expect to pay somewhere between $1500 and $3000 per eye for comprehensive all inclusive services related to Laser Eye Surgery, whether you have LASIK, PRK, Custom LASIK or Epi-LASIK.This should include any necessary pretreatment diagnostic testing, the LASIK surgeon fee, any and all facility fees, all followup care and medically necessary enhancements for a period of at least one year after your initial procedure.

You should also expect that the professional practice you attend for your consultation will be able to arrange an affordable payment plan -with no money down and even zero % interest if you would like.

  3. If you have medical insurance, it should be covered.
