My husband can only work certain jobs with his working visa and I am a student and graduating in July and now I need to prove I can support us financially. Does anyone know what I should do in this case since I have an income but maybe it is not enough. Does anyone know how much money I need to have or to make for this to happen?

  1. um he need to be able to prove that he can support you 125%, if he does not have the means to do that he can get other family members to sponsor you, and together they can prove that they can support you.

  2. Just you and him?  $17,500 per year.

  3. You have to prove you can support him and make 125% above the poverty level, which is $17500. You will file an I-864, Affidavit of Support & that paperwork will ask you a series of question related to your income & assets. If you do not meet the salary standards, you will need a co-sponsor who does make at least $17500. This sponsor can be anybody but it's best to have a family member do it, maybe one of your parents? You can try doing it yourself. Sometimes they're nice enough to send you a letter requesting a co-sponsor. Good luck.

  4. 125% above poverty level for a household of two.if you dont make that much you can use as many co-sponsers as you need.

  5. 125% of the federal poverty guideline.  If you are in the military, it can be 100%.  Or, if you have other family members, such as parents or other relatives, willing to say they will help you out, their income can count as well.
