I am considering a salt water filter for my pool and was wondeing how much natural salt for it will cost me

What you're thinking of is called a salt water generator. It's not a filter. A bag of salt ( 50 pounds) usually retails for about 18 bucks or so. How many bags you'll need will depend on the chlorine generator you bought and the size of the pool.
