It depends totally on the plumbing company. You should only get a plumber who was referred to you by someone you trust, or else you can really be taken for a ride.  Some plumbers charge an arm and a leg and may not even get the job done.  Always ask around first and see who your friends recommend and who they DON'T recommend.  The same is true for roofers and contractors.

That could vary depending on which area of the country you live in, But typically you should be able to find one (licensed contractor) for about 50.00 pr.hr. (or more)Also, some plumbers work "on the side" for somewhat less. Check around you might know someone who knows someone.

$40 to $45 a hour is what the company they work for charges.  They get a cut of that.  A plumber could always go free lance, however the work will not be steady.
