  1. charles gets about £3million from the civil list, and harry and wills get nothing, but i wouldnt be surprised if we had to foot all the policing/protection bills....

  2. Probably a lot less than Gordon Brown is costing us.

  3. when you can spell and got your facts right just look up charles' businesses how hes a farmer etc and then come back and ask but i can tell you one thing alot less than immigrants do

  4. It costs more to buy the newspaper that complains about it.

  5. The entire Royal Family costs each British tax payer around 63 pence a year (about$1). Their work around the world creates markets for British goods on which many jobs depend; the Royal Family raise hundreds of millions for charity each year, and their constitutional position protects us

from having a Presidential system; i.e. even more lieing, dysfunctional politicians.

  6. Too much, in anybodies book, but why pose this repeated question? it will not make a jot of difference to the obscene amounts  of  money they, take.

  7. However much it is it's too much!!

  8. Nothing.  They are NOT on the Civil List.Charles makes money from the Duchy of Cornwall and investments. He pays for his boys, who've also inherited their own money from The Queen Mother and Diana,Princess of Wales.

The Prince of Wales runs many businesses in the Duchy of Cornwall. He sells organic goods,is an organic farmer, and sells organic farming goods and supplies,as well.

"The Prince of Wales's life and work are funded predominantly by the Duchy of Cornwall.

All the private and the large majority of the official and charitable activities of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are funded by The Prince’s annual private income from The Duchy of Cornwall estate.

Since it was established in 1337 by Edward III for his eldest son Prince Edward, the Duchy's main purpose has been to provide an income for the Heir to the Throne. Under the 1337 charter, and as confirmed by subsequent legislation, The Prince of Wales is not entitled to the proceeds or profit on the sale of the Duchy’s capital assets, but only to its annual income.

Today, the estate consists of around 54,648 hectares of land in 23 counties, mostly in the South-West of England, and includes agricultural, residential and commercial property holdings. It also has a financial investment portfolio.

The Prince of Wales chooses to use the majority of his after-tax income from the Duchy to meet the cost of his public and charitable work. In addition, each year he helps raise, directly or indirectly, around £119 million for his core 18 charities.

The Prince pays tax on his Duchy income, after the normal deductions for business expenses, at the 40 per cent rate. Like any other tax-payer, his tax return is subject to review by the Inland Revenue. In 2006-07, The Prince’s income from the Duchy was £15.2 million and £11.7 million after tax (including VAT). Over 60 per cent of The Prince of Wales’s after-tax income from the Duchy of Cornwall was spent on official duties and charitable activities.  Click here to find out more about official expenditure."
