It depends on where you are.  Some jurisdictions will only give you back money on bottles which you had to pay a deposit on at the time of purchase.  So, for example, if you have to pay a deposit on beer bottles, but not on juice bottles, you will only get back your deposit from the beer bottles.  In some jurisdictions, you may only get back a portion of your deposit, with the non-refundable portion of the deposit going to the government.

    How much you will get back depends on what the policy of your jurisdiction is, on the types of bottles you are returning, and, in some cases, on the sizes of the bottles.
