  1. Tennis elbow is quite painful.  I'm suffering one right now.  It also produces some pain on your forearm muscle as well.  The only thing you can do if you are suffering from it is to stop playing tennis for a while.  Ice your elbow, do some tennis elbow treament exercise like this -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eQA3Igex... . But the best thing to do is just rest.  Good luck :)

  2. Its very uncomfortable ... I suffer from it right now ... and I have noticed a significant drop in strength .... things seem heavier ... not fun at all ....

  3. I'm working on a doctorate in physical therapy, and this is what I have experienced with my patients so far.  First tennis elbow (aka lateral epicondylitis) hurts, it is a burning pain that is worse when you use it.  If you go to the doctor or a PT this is what they are going to tell you:  the exercise to treat it is eccentric exercises, what you to is make a fist, extend your wrist then take your other and and push your wrist down but resist this motion on your affected side.  Only do this 3x/week and work to the pain NOT through it.  Don't do concentric exercises (the opposite way) and stay off of it for a while.  Ice it as much as possible, especially after exercise and you should be good to go within a couple of weeks.  Also take ibprufin unless you have any contraindications for NSAIDS

  4. Tennis elbow is painful -- just enough to make picking up a carton of milk difficult. Playing with it is pointless -- you will stink. If you've got it, ice three or more times a day. Torex makes a nice ice pack  that you can check out under Tennis essentials at tennisidentity.com, and make sure you rest it. Don't play while it hurts. When you go back to the court, think about how you hit. Hitting the ball late and not out front is a big contributor to this problem. Good luck. I'm not a doctor so if it's really bad please see one. It does go away but takes its sweet time.
