How much does the average voice lesson cost?

What do you pay for one on one sessions. How much would it cost for one hour of lessons? Thank you!

Please make the proper distinction between a voice COACH and a voice TEACHER.  A coach will teach you language and interpretation, a voice teacher will teach you vocal technique.  As an advanced student you will need both.  

What level are you in your singing and where do you live?  These things greatly affect the amount of money you will pay for lessons.  For voice lessons, expect to pay around $50 per hour for a competent, non-famous teacher NOT in NYC.  More if they are extremely experienced or have a "name," less if they are just starting out as a teacher or are not trained primarily as a singer (perhaps a pianist who also sings) and teach mostly beginner/intermediate level students.  Coaches generally cost less than voice teachers at the higher levels, but I've not heard of a coach charging less than $50 per hour.

if you go to a Piano teacher/singer.. ya  know the teachers that mainly  teach children...about $60.. or even less.

plus once you have that person's interest in you, you might strike a deal for a few lessons for about $120.00

If you go to a advertised vocal coach...figure about 120 to 150 a lesson... and a possible fee for the first consultation...
