  1. It's actually a much needed and serious job.  I'll say its a salary position for about 40 G's.  Just an intelligent guess.   I believe they do other things besides drive the pace car.

  2. Hello I am a NASCAR writer for www.fantasyinsideronline.com and a member of the nascar media.

the person who drives the pace is named Brett Bodine he comes from a long line of racers and his little brother Todd runs in the Truck series.

His official title at NASCAR is Director of Cost for the NASCAR R&D Center and I would guess his salary is high 6 figures

  3. I dont no alot of times its somebody famous or something along that line so.

  4. they get paid, even more if they win.

  5. There isn't necessarily a sertain person to drive it. At different races, there are (most of the time) different people to drive them. Sometimes, there are even celebrities and guest people. When there aren't any "famous" people to drive the pace car, there is someone who will drive it. They do get paid, but there isn't really a set amount.

  6. i always thought the grand marshall drove the pace car.

  7. Brett Bodine is usually the pace car driver. He works for NASCAR's Research and Development Center.  I am sure he is well paid.

  8. about 125,000 a year my cuz is in a pit crew he gets paid 210,000 a year but ya 125 a year u have to get traning thoe
