  2. I just went through this for the first time and I gave my daughter 4 quarters and some loose change from my purse. She thought it was the greatest thing in the world. When she lost her second tooth I did the same exact thing. I'm not going to break the bank paying for my children's teeth. My mother didn't do it, I'm not going to. She bought a popsicle with her money and giggled the entire time.

  3. Hey, I'm cheap.. I'll admit it.  25 cents per tooth after the first tooth.  I was shamed into $5 on the first tooth.  Hey, they don't know a silver dollar from a quarter at that age... come on.

  4. $10 for first tooth

    $1-$5 for any other tooth

  5. My kids get a dollar each for the front teeth (the Tooth Fairy takes them to the mermaids and they make pearl necklaces out of them). The rest of the teeth bring fifty cents. No reason to go to the ATM just because your child loses a tooth! Also no reason to set unreasonable expectations in them. Half the time they lose the money anyway - especially at that age!

  6. The Tooth Fairy brings my son a silver dollar for each tooth he loses.

  7. i got a dollar for every tooth, but they were in half dollar coins that my dad had when he was little, which i didn't find out for a while.  but i like your idea of a regular dollar and a gold dollar.  i would do the same for the middle.  kids don't need $10 or $15 for a tooth.

  8. I give my kids five dollars.

  9. My kids are now 29, 26, 23, and 11.  Inflation hit the Tooth Fairy at our house.  With our older 3 children, they received $1 for the first lost tooth and 25 cents for each subsequent tooth.  With our youngest, she got $5 for her first lost tooth and $1 for each subsequent tooth.  She's still losing teeth, but has figured out the true identity of the Tooth Fairy, so we just cut to the chase and give her the dollar when the tooth falls out.

  10. $1 for the regular teeth.  $1.50 for the molars.  I give it in change (not all pennies) to make it look like a lot!

  11. My kids usually get $3.00 for a regular tooth and $5.00 for a molar. My oldest are 13 and have lost all their baby teeth.

  12. 5$ - 10$

  13. MY MOM JUST GAVE ME 4 QUARTERS OR A BUCK WHICH EVER SHE HAD AND FOR THE FIRST I WAS GIVEN  2  DOLLARS. (LOL)

HOWEVER SHE GAVE ME THE TWO DOLLARS... AND IT WAS ACTUALLY 20! SHE THOUGHT IT WAS DOLLAR BILLS INSTEAD IT WAS TWO 10 DOLLAR BILLS IT WAS DARK AND SHE WORE HARD CONTACTS. I DIDNT REMEMBER THIS BUT SHE DID... WE EVEN HAVE PICTURES... IN THE END I ENDED UP WITH TWO DOLLARS BUT HEY I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER!!!

I PLAN TO GIVE MY KIDS THE SAME AS I HAD.

  14. In our house, we have The Book Fairy.

    One book per tooth.

  15. depends on the income of the parents

  16. 10 bucks. I got 30 once, but that's cuz my mom, grandpa, and aunt came in and left me money - i didnt say a thing! lol - but yah, 10 bucks.
