  1. That depends a lot on the horse's size, muscle, and bone structure.  A 16 hand TB who is racing fit may top out around 1100 to 1150 lbs, whereas a 15.2 hand TB who is racing fit may not even reach 1000 lbs.  The TB mare I recently adopted from the track is 15.2 hands and fine-boned (though she is "thick" muscle-wise).  She barely hits 1000 lbs on the weight tape.

  2. 1200lbs to 1400 lbs

  3. 120lbs or more

  4. The average thoroughbred in a racing fit condition will come in about 1000 pounds or less.

Depends on the height and build of the horse.

Most of my retired ones are less than 1200 pounds.

Most of them are about 16.2 hands tall and about 1100 pounds. They are not in racing fit condition but are very fit for trails and jumping and that type of riding. Most get worked several times per week. So they are fit but not racing fit.
