How much does your teil chirp?

Question

I have a new cockatiel for 3 days(maybe a year old) and he doent make alot of noise. I dont mind but I thought he would chirp a little more. He chirps really loud once and a while like he is flock calling but thats it. Is that normal?

well new birds are really quiet for some time, this can last up to 3 or 4 weeks, give him some time to get used to his surroundings  check out www.parrotcentral.net for good articles on new birds and tiels goodluck
