  1. it doesnt cost if u adopt within the US. . . but adopting a child from korea could cost up to $16,000!!!. . . the only risk of adopting within the states is tht the parents of the child could want to visit it. . . if u adopt a child with disabilites u will be fincially helped. . . some of the things they consider disabilites r things u wouldnt even think of as a disability. . . good luck

  2. The homestudy requires you have "enough room" for a child-that usually means a second bedroom at least, even if shared with another child. Also domestic newborn and International are very expensive, 20K+ and your chances would be lowered for both as a young, single woman with only a small space.

You may do somewhat better with foster-to-adopt, but again the no bedroom thing might be a problem.

I would suggest you wait until you're in a better financial position, with a bigger home, then consider parenting. You can look into artificial insemintion and foster-to-adopt.

  3. you dont pay but there are a lot of classes the agency will want you to take and inspections and other guidelines and all that does cost contact an adoption agency or cps in colorado to find out more details if it helps my parents adopted 2 boys from oregon and it probably cost them about 5 thousand and 2 years to complete the whole process

  4. I didn't think you had to pay to adopt.

  5. http://www.adoptionservices.org/adoption...

I didn't look too closely at the website, but it looks like it has a lot of information.  If you just google "Colorado Adoptions" a ton of stuff comes up.  You will definitely have to prove that you are fit enough to raise a child.  That would be emotionally and financially.

  6. About $35,000.00 respectively.

  7. If you take in a kid from foster care, and then adopt them, that's the cheapest solution.  You could also try to adopt a newborn domestically, although birth parents are likely to prefer couples over singles.  International is more expensive, but still a possibility- some countries take singles, some don't.

As a potential adoptive parent, a social worker will give you a "homestudy."  He or she will evaluate whether or not you are fit to be a parent and whether or not your home is a safe environment for children.  I don't think that a learning disability would be severe enough to impact your suitability as a parent.  They would probably prefer for the child to have his or her own bedroom.
