  2. Sorry i cant answer every question there

i am going to Japan in 3 weeks for a holiday

As for a plane ticket i live in Australia and it cost me $1620 one way onto England (treating Japan as a stop over)

Its roughly a 10 hour flight for me if that helps you estimate your costs

Ive been doing a lot of research and for say a can of coke your looking around 150 yen which is $150 AUD

Train ticket 100-900 yen... it varies heaps they have private and public train lines

put a decimal point before the last two digits and you get a rough idea :)

Try doing some research on line for the average wages and jobs

Ive been learning some Japanese and its fairly simple to pick up but the actual writing is extremely hard to learn

to make things easy though a lot of shops and train stations have English writing

    PHEW

hope this helps you a bit :)

  3. Japan is expensive.  But if you are in the military, then lots of those expenses will be taken care of.  Your housing, your flights, your job.  Study Japanese with Rosetta stone (It is really good), and get used to eating lots of fish!
