  1. per ticket at the booth

  2. Rides range in price.  Brand new rides such as kiddy rides can cost from 50K to 150K new.  Rides known as Spetaculars which have all the lights and music can cost in the Millions and they could take multiple trucks to pull them down the road.  Those are usually the centerpiece of the midway

A ferris wheel is one of the oldest but also most family oriented rides on the midway so there are many out there from new to used.  As always, you get what you pay for.  A brand new Giant wheel will run about $800,000.

Most of the time, a typical carnival company will own most of the rides as well as the generators and power lines to run the show.  Depending on the spot (place they are at), they might need to add extra rides and games and food stands.  They then book them on.  That means they go to independent owners and let them have space on the midway.  The show pays them in many different ways.

For Rides, they can pay them a flat fee based on the ride or if they are booking a spetacular or a large number of rides for the week, they might do a percentage of gross ticket sales.

For games and food, they usually charge a per foot fee.  If the game is taking up 15 foot then they get charged a fee per foot for the week.

Again, this is all typical.  Different shows do different deals.
