How much easier is it to write a research paper today?

I've taken an informal poll from my high school graduates (Class of 2008); the current incoming upperclassmen and former students, before the daily use of computers, it was a whole lot of handwriting, using the typewriter and so on, do the current students have the right to complain?

Writing a research paper is quite easier than it was in past. There are different sources which makes it easy. Research for any thing can be available from internet and many other sources. Lots of writing were involved in past, computer makes it easy to typewrite long research papers, thesis etc.
