  1. much less than what you waste if you leave an air conditioning system on

  2. You will use a lot...That's just so much emissions released into the atmosphere causing our O-zone layer to break up, And when that has happened we could eventually have 4 seasons in one day...e.g Thunder/lightning, Hurricanes/Tornado's, Floods,   a lot of rain, Sewers/water pipes will be overflowing causing sewage to up rise to mainland etc...A lot could happen but not all this is possible by one person...But please it's adding to other peoples emissions..Use electricity when you need, Like switch your dryer power point also the washing machines power point and your t.v power point OFF when sleeping and away on holiday's/vacations/work...Any power point that is not in use like the kettle and toaster power point etc...But keep the mains on...Like your freezer/refrigerator...

  3. wayy too much

  4. Howdy~ I found an article labeled, The Problem Of Leaking Electricity about half way down this page:

    http://www.consumerenergycenter.org/home...

I had a bet about this and lost! It seems you spend 9 watts a day if you leave your radio on.

Here is a table of "leaky" electronics linked from the article:

  5. Enough to power Al Gore's house for 30 seconds a day.

  6. I'm not sure technically how much, but I know it's a lot. My electric company has also told me that even unplugging an appliance when you're not using it saves you a lot of money and electricity.

In my house, I usually don't turn on any lights unless I can barely see the room or what I need to get. I do leave the computer on over night a lot, but shut it down when I'm at work.

  7. That will depend on your appliances. There's lighbulb and there's energy saving light bulbs. There's TV and there's plasma TV !

Take a reading from your electricity meter . Take another reading 24 hours later . This will tell you EXACTLY the answer you are looking for.

  8. enough electricity to run about 8 lights, tv, radio and computer for a day

  9. Turn everything on,  measure the current and multiply it by 60x24x365.  Then devid by 1000 and you know how many Kw hours.

  10. just read the electric meter's reading before and after the switching on periods !

  11. you will know when you have to pay the bill, expensive= to much, cheap= not wasting

  12. You should try it for an entire  month and then look at your electric bill. You can compare and contrast the cost. Then you'll know exactly how much. Ha!

  13. a lot
