How much electricity do computers waste?

Well i know it will depend on the model but I don't have any idea. My mom is always telling me that it consumes a lot of energy. I have an LCD monitor which i think wastes less energy.

A trifling amount. Since govt intervention, most computers can easily go into hibernation and reduce the el used.
