  1. IDK. But my friend got shocked and kept having shivers every 5 seconds afterward. :)


  2. According to the National Electrical Code, anything over 50v is considered hazardous.  It is not the voltage that kills you, it is the current though.  But the higher the voltage, better the chance of being knocked clean on your a**.  Tazers produce 4kv i think (4,000 volts).

    The dividing line between non-fatal shock and shock that could be fatal is very thin.

    The only way to shock without any chance of fatality is to limit the current to less than 1 ma. This can be done by shocking with a static charge that you can get by sliding across a rug, which doesn't have enough charge to have 1ma of current, or by putting a resistor in series.

    A 120 volts supply with a 120kohm resistor, in theory, is not fatal.

    But if you are looking for test subjects, count me out.
