  1. Question is not at all clear.


  2. Oil-fired power plants are not very common...though they are used in some places.  I can't find any figures as a percentage of electricity generation, but I would guess a very small amount.

    I assume you realize that most oil is used for internal combustion engines, not producing electricity (though it still counts as "energy").  The energy figures above include the use of oil/gasoline in automobiles.

  3. About 38.1% of all energy consumption in the US is petroleum based.

    Its harder to calculate worldwide as many countries are constantly adding new oil plants, however it is estimated that 34% of the world energy comes from oil (petroleum).
